This edition of "The harvesting revolution" is a bit special. The whole Dracula Technologies team wanted to get involved. You will find articles we found relevant, articles we wrote especially for you, webinars, other relevant content on Energy Harvesting and green technologies…

📚  GREAT READS

How Low Power Technology and Energy Harvesting Will Make the IoT More Green? The Internet of Things (IoT) has revolutionized a number of industries, opening up new avenues for innovation and economic growth. However, this new era of connectivity has also created a serious battery problem. Billions of batteries are getting thrown out each year, contaminating landfills around the world. Read more…

A nanobody-functionalized organic electrochemical transistor for the rapid detection of SARS-CoV-2 or MERS antigens at the physical limit. The COVID-19 pandemic highlights the need for rapid protein detection and quantification at the single-molecule level in a format that is simple and robust enough for widespread point-of-care applications. We here introduce a modular nanobody-organic electrochemical transistor architecture that enables the fast and specific detection and quantification of single-molecule to nanomolar protein antigen concentrations in complex bodily fluids. Photochromic dye-sensitized solar cells with light-driven adjustable optical transmission and power conversion efficiency. Semi-transparent photovoltaics only allow for the fabrication of solar cells with an optical transmission that is fixed during their manufacturing resulting in a trade-off between transparency and efficiency. For the integration of semi-transparent devices in buildings, ideally, solar cells should generate electricity while offering comfort for users to self-adjust their light transmission with the intensity of the daylight. 💡 LEARNING CONTENT

How we harvest ambient light to power IoT with OPV modules? We've launched a few months ago a youtube playlist called « Powered by LAYER® » presenting some quick and dirty programs with our close partners. Read more…

Make your IoT autonomous and green with OPV Thanks to LAYER® technology, we are able to produce energy in very low light conditions. We are no longer talking about a light source but about ambient light. Read more…

📅 (non-physical) EVENTS WHERE YOU SHOULD GO THIS MONTH

We are sharing some nice webinars and videos.

  • RFID & Wireless IoT tomorrow 2020 is a virtual B2B conference & exhibition on the subject of Wireless IoT!  - By ConnectWaves
You can review their live stream conferences and participate to Virtual Exhibition up to Dec 18th
Participation in exhibition and conference is free of charge. Click here !

  • This month, we added a new video on our youtube channel: A temperature sensor that collects temperature data fed by one of our LAYER® modules. RFID Tag communication is initiated when approaching the phone via NFC :
